Truly this is a post that does not like to do, but these days I had a great sadness to see the leader of one of the largest churches in Brazil, Bishop Edir Macedo, not only defending abortion, but encouraging the practice. I'm posting the video below. It is difficult to conceive the idea that a person who says "God" to think so. The most impressive of all is to see him support his opinion with Bible verse, distorting the passage of Ecclesiastes 6.3.
If a man beget a hundred children and live many years, and the days of his years be many, and if your soul is not filled with good, and besides you do not have a burial, I say that an abortion is better than him. (Ecclesiastes 6:3, KJV)
First we must understand that an abortion can happen on a voluntary basis, ie, a conscious act, it is a crime against life, usually originated from a sin another sin: fornication. Deep calls to deep (Ps. 42:7).
But can also occur in an involuntary way, ie, natural causes, by a problem during pregnancy, that is, an accident. There is a very big difference between an abortion and COMMIT SUFFER an abortion.
And the latter is what the Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes. Because a woman going through pregnancy and creates the expectation of having a child and for some reason aborts, it is natural to go through a grief too big, some may get depressed. The Bible makes a comparison between the sadness of a man with many children who have a miserable life and a person who suffers a miscarriage. Watch people SUFFER abortion, she commits abortion.
It is sad to see a religious leader to create a doctrine based on only one verse, and distort it. The Bishop forgot to talk - or does he not read? - That the prophet Jeremiah was known by God before being formed in his mother's womb (Jer. 1:5) The apostle Paul also (Gal 1:15). God knew them before they were born. If for men, like Bishop, embryos or fetuses are not important to the Lord certainly are.
My frame was not hidden you were when I was made in secret and woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body, and in thy book all these things were written, which were being formed every day, when as yet there was one. (Psalm 139:15-16, KJV)
Mr. Macedo should be worried about preaching against prostitution and its related calls that originate unwanted pregnancy and abortion is not an apology. Keep an eye out because if a man says this: That my God bless you! First you must find out what is the god he serves, because it certainly should not be the Bible. Life of Jesus have mercy!

I like your blog, but not a bit of your story badmouthing the Bishop Macedo.
I will not judge you as you did in your story with the Bishop, I think it redículo for a true Christian.
I direct you to better understand the UCKG.
My friend did not think the UCKG, but the bishop's statements that go against the Word of God. Whoever rejects me and me not get my words hath one that judgeth him: the word I have spoken, the same shall judge on the last day. (John 12:48)
I am also a Christian and will not be in favor of my head, if he does not agree with the Word. Men are flawed, not good men, now you choose what you want. There is a video and a statement, no slander, but I believe the Word of God and the Author of Life has no pleasure in the death of innocents. I'm sorry for you.
